Over the course of his 20-year career, Jason has specialized in healthcare, higher education and biotechnology where, he says, “Information Technology is woven into every process. It’s critical for IT to be at the table for discussion and to innovate and help generate solutions.” Jason describes his work as creative, and his key role as working with others to solve problems. “It’s my job to understand where IT can best engage to support the delivery of exceptional care.”
Jason has served in Chief Information Officer roles for multi-hospital health systems, global clinical trials organizations, and as regional CIO for a fortune 5 healthcare and technology company. He recently led the effort to overhaul the clinical and IT systems across a west coast health system, including multiple hospitals, ambulatory and home health settings. The flagship system transition at the core of this transformation was a system-wide migration to Epic EMR, Patient Accounting and Analytics. At the core of this transformation is shift to value-based care, whereby the organization looked to the Quadruple Aim as it’s North Star.
Jason received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems from Washington State University. He earned a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from Seattle Pacific University and an MBA with a Healthcare Management Concentration from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. He also maintains industry certifications such as CHCIO, PMP, ITIL and CPHIMS.
